Successful Completion of the Workshop on Flying Machines: Ornithopter

Organised in association with:

The Ornithopter workshop PHASE 1 was organised with great success. It's great to have such kind of activities in the University.
The workshop, organised under ASME-UPES Student Section, achieved its objective of helping participants gain experience and understand the science behind the flight of aircraft. After the workshop, participants fabricated their own flying machines.
The Workshop held on 26 Nobember 2011 was attended by 76 participants from various B.Tech courses. Lectures by Mr. Kuldeep Yadav and Mr. Asghar from Avian Aerospace covered the following topics:

(i) Introduction to Flight
(ii) Introduction to Aeromodelling
(iii) Types of Flying Models
(iv) Flight Controls
(v) Principles of Flying
(vi) Aerodynamics Concepts
(vii) Introduction to Flight of Ornithopters
(viii) Introduction to Design of Ornithopter
(ix) Hands-on session for fabricating a basic Micro-Ornithopter
(x) Introduction to Radio Controlled Ornithopter
(xi) Flight session of the basic Micro-Ornithopter

Mr. Kuldeep Yadav and Mr. Asghar being felicitated by Honorable Chancellor Dr. S.J. Chopra
